Evaluation & Consultation
Your visit at PNW Tongue Tie starts with a conversation. Dr. Shadi will listen to your concerns—whether it’s feeding struggles, speech delays, or sleep issues—and perform a thorough oral exam to check for tongue- or lip-ties. If a restriction is present, she’ll explain how it may be affecting function and what treatment options are available.
Same-Day Treatment (If Needed)
If you choose to move forward, we can perform the tongue- or lip-tie release the same day. Using a gentle, precise laser, the procedure is quick and minimally invasive. Babies can nurse immediately after with the help of our on-site lactation consultant, and older children and adults can return to daily activities immediately after the procedure.
Please let us know if you are interested in same day treatment when requesting your appointment.
Aftercare & Follow-Up
We’ll provide detailed aftercare instructions to ensure proper healing. For babies, this includes feeding guidance and stretches to prevent reattachment. Older children and adults may benefit from additional therapy, such as speech or myofunctional therapy, which we can refer as needed. A follow-up check-in—either in person or via Zoom (for out-of-town patients)—is available to ensure progress and answer any questions.
